Antique Clock Sales Disclaimer and Legal Policy

**Condition and Age of Clocks**
Please note that the clocks we sell are genuine antiques, many of which are over 100 years old. Due to their age, these clocks are sold primarily as decorative items, and while some may function properly, their primary value lies in their historical and aesthetic appeal. Some clocks may keep time perfectly, while others may have minor inaccuracies or may not keep accurate time at all. These characteristics are typical of antique clocks and are not considered defects.

**Functionality**
While we make every effort to ensure that each clock is in good working order at the time of sale, we cannot guarantee that the clock will continue to function perfectly during or after shipment. Antique mechanical movements are delicate and may require adjustments or repairs upon arrival. Any repair or adjustment needed after delivery will be the responsibility of the buyer. Additionally, due to their age, some clocks may not function as precisely as modern timepieces, and buyers should not expect perfect timekeeping.

*Quartz Conversion Option**
For convenience, we offer the option to convert the clock’s mechanical movement to a battery-operated quartz movement. This conversion allows you to enjoy the beauty of the clock without the need for manual winding. However, please note that by opting for a quartz movement, you will lose any original chime or strike features, as these are tied to the mechanical movement. This conversion is optional, and clocks converted to quartz are still sold as-is.

**No Refunds or Returns**
Due to the antique and fragile nature of these clocks, **all sales are final**. We do not accept returns or offer refunds for any reason, including but not limited to issues related to the clock’s functionality, condition, or timekeeping ability. By making a purchase, you acknowledge and accept that you are buying an antique item in “as-is” condition, with any associated wear, age, or functional limitations.

**Shipping and Responsibility**
We take great care in packing each clock to ensure it arrives in the best possible condition. However, due to the delicate nature of antique clocks, we cannot guarantee that the internal mechanisms will remain unaffected during shipping. Any repairs needed as a result of shipping will be the buyer’s responsibility. We recommend consulting a professional clockmaker for repairs or adjustments as necessary.

**International Sales**
Please be aware that antique clocks are subject to various import/export regulations depending on the destination country. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with any such regulations and to cover any import duties, taxes, or customs fees that may apply. Additionally, shipping times may vary depending on customs clearance and international shipping conditions.

**Limitation of Liability**
We strive to describe each clock accurately and provide detailed information about its condition. However, due to the inherent nature of antique items, we disclaim any warranties, whether express or implied, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use or inability to use the clock, including any repair costs incurred by the buyer.

By purchasing from our store, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this disclaimer and legal policy.
